Tired of the same old routine? There are SO many fun things to see, do, and explore at Port Discovery! In addition to our daily programs, you’ll find fun family events like Rattle Your Bones, Indigenous Peoples’ Heritage Day, Winter Break, Noontime New Year, and so many more happening throughout the year at Port Discovery!
Feature Events, Campaigns, & Promotions
April : Month of the Young Child
Port Discovery is partnering with Arts for Learning Maryland to celebrate the Month of the Young Child! Educational programming made with our youngest learners in mind will be presented by our Learning Specialists, emphasizing on STEM, Language, and Social Emotional Learning through hands on and interactive activities.
April 26 : Community Day
Visit Port Discovery at a discount price and enjoy 3 floors of fun, plus special performances and activities from our education team!
May 4 & 5 : Be A Hero: Galaxy Rebels
Come be a hero at a Children’s Museum not so far away! On May 4 & 5th, visit Port Discovery Children’s Museum for fun that visitors from all planets and galaxies are sure to enjoy. With activities ranging from building a laser sword to designing a robot and hero training, everyone is sure to find something that will put a smile on their face.
May 4 & 5 : Members Hour
Port Discovery members are invited to enjoy museum access one-hour before we open to the general public!
May 11 : Happenstance Theatre: PINOT & AUGUSTINE
PINOT & AUGUSTINE from Happenstance Theatre is a family-friendly clown duo inspired by the golden age of Circus. Happenstance Theatre is a part of Port Discovery’s Discovery Stage Series, supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org)
May 17 : Community Day

May 26 : Sensory Friendly Sunday
